What are Portable Appliances?
A portable electrical appliance is an item of electrical equipment which is not part of a fixed installation and requires a plug attachment to connect to the electrical supply. This includes electric drills, kettles, PCs, printers, monitors, extension cables and even larger item for example vending machines & dish washers.
What is PAT Testing?
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is an important part of a company's responsibility to health and safety. It is a legal requirement to ensure all electrical appliances are safe to use. This is done using a series of specialised testing procedures using portable appliance testing equipment.
